Data Analyst Master’s
Ark Energy (www.arkenergy.ae and YouTube Video) is a leading Energy Transition, Cleantech and Energy Management Digitalization Advisory firm that consults clients to navigate their energy transition to net zero through a holistic approach to development, funding and measurement and verification of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. Our energy management information system (www.arkEMIS.io or YouTube Video) harnesses Big Data to manage and reduce energy spend using advanced data analytics powered by AI and deep machine learning, live dashboards, and automated M&V, energy and ESG reporting
Ark Energy is looking for resourceful, driven and smart data analysts to work with our energy consultants. The role is a part time job that can turn into a permanent role should the candidate prove value
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Populate data sets into our digital energy management information system
• Collect and analyze data on energy consumption, production, and costs
• Use statistical analysis, tableau / powerBI to carry out deep data analytics on energy data
• Identify trends and patterns in energy usage and costs
• Monitor and report on energy market conditions and trends
• Monitor regional energy policies and regulations and provide a regular report on any changes
• Conduct economic and financial analyses of energy projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to implement energy management plans
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry developments related to energy and develop a structured report (business intelligence) to the management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Masters of Engineering in Data Analysis, Mechanical, Electrical, CCE or industrial Engineering, engineering management, or Energy Studies
• Attitude and Chemistry: Exceptional character, interpersonal communication skills team player, with the right attitude, chemistry, and loyalty to our sole purpose with passion for energy efficiency and changing our world to be a better place
• Brain Power: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high stamina
• Time management: As value-consultants, our clients expect us to execute work professionally and on time. Working hours are around 16 hours weekly in our office in Beirut, or anywhere else depending on the type of project, incl. Dubai, KSA, Cairo, or Client’s sites, wherever they are
• Candidate has to be able to operate under pressure incl. working over the Weekends (while not expected but may be required to meet deadlines). Time management is paramount
• Good understanding of solar PV technology, building systems and design, as well as the different aspects of energy modelling and energy management is a BIG PLUS
• Knowledge of Homer, PVSketch, VRay, Skellion, or IES (Energy Modelling) is a PLUS
• Languages: perfect English (writing/speaking), Arabic (writing/speaking), French is a plus

• Candidate shall report directly to assigned consultants / case managers, and work closely within key team members

WORKING CONDITIONS
Mainly in head-office in Beirut (Antellias, A-Tower)
May be required to travel for site visits if deployed on a consulting project (project-based)
Working hours: 16 hours per week with 30 minutes lunch break (get the job done in less if you can)
