Financial-Grade Carbon Accounting Software

Gain a competitive advantage by tracking and reducing GHG emissions. CarbonHub, our carbon accounting software, automates data collection, simplifies reporting, and empowers strategic, sustainable decision-making

Organizations face increasing complexities in carbon accounting and emissions reporting, driven by the need to manage diverse data sources, ensure regulatory compliance, and meet stakeholder expectations.  Addressing these challenges requires a structured approach to data consolidation, methodology standardization, and transparent reporting.

Data Complexity and Integration

Energy consumption, commodity usage, and operational activities generate vast amounts of data in varying formats from multiple sources and at inconsistent intervals. Consolidating this fragmented data into a unified framework for the calculation of Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions requires significant time, expertise, and coordination.

Standardization and Compliance Risks

The absence of universally accepted methodologies and standardized reporting tools can lead to discrepancies in emissions calculations, increasing the risk of inaccuracies and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks. Organizations must align their carbon accounting practices with evolving global standards to ensure reliable and auditable reporting.

Stakeholder Expectations and Sustainability Goals

With growing pressure from investors, regulators, and customers, organizations must enhance the transparency and credibility of their emissions reporting. Failure to provide accurate and verifiable emissions data can result in reputational risks and missed opportunities for emissions reduction and sustainability-driven business growth.

The Path Forward

Organizations should implement robust data management systems, adopt industry-standard methodologies, and leverage technology-driven solutions for real-time monitoring and reporting to navigate these challenges.

CarbonHub simplifies emissions management by seamlessly collecting, organizing, and analyzing your data, all in one place. With powerful reports and intuitive dashboards, you gain the clarity and insights needed to take control of your sustainability goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long have Ark Energy been using CarbonHub?
CarbonHub was a module within the utility management platform that Ark has been using for a year. Due to the importance of Carbon Accounting, CarbonHub was developed to be launched as a separate platform almost 6 months ago and has been utilized ever since
Is CarbonHub an in-house tool?
CarbonHub is actually developed by EnergyCap, Ark Energy's partner. Ark Energy has acted as the main distributor of CarbonHub in the MENA region
How does the bulk upload work? Does it have to be in a certain format?
Record import formats let you create multiple emissions records at one time. You can import a spreadsheet or CSV file from another application, or use a CarbonHub template
When the data is uploaded, is there a form of data validation?
When your import file has errors the platform indicates the number of errors in the file and allows you to download an error file. The error file highlights the error in your spreadsheet allowing you to fix and reupload the file
Can you apply bulk import to Scope 3?
Yes. In the imported spreadsheet or CSV file, you identify the Scope Category and GHG Factor. It is important to note that if this factor is not readily available on the platform, you can create you own custom GHG factor and then utilize it when importing bulk data
If you want to add more facilities or change your organizational structure is that something you can
You can add as many facilities as you want. After defining the new organizational structure, you can change the "Parent Collection" of any collection or emission source in the Collection Details tab
